What is Yoga?
 
The practice and study of Yoga is the union of the body, mind, and spirit. Yoga, which is a sanskrit word, means "yoke", or "union". Yoga is a philosophy and science that has been around for 5,000 years. Yoga combines the use of postures (asanas) and breathing exercises (pranayama), as well as meditation, relaxation, and other techniques.
